About us
We build software the way we would want to inherit it.
MET Beteiligungs - GmbH is an IT company working in software development, cloud and infrastructure support, systems integration and technical consulting.
What we do
We design, build and look after business software — the applications, platforms and integrations organisations rely on to run daily operations.
Our work covers the whole lifecycle: understanding a process, shaping a scope that can actually be delivered, building it in reviewable increments, verifying it properly and then maintaining it once real users depend on it. We work equally on new systems and on existing ones that need to be stabilised, extended or brought back under control.
We describe only what we do and how we do it. We make no claims about founding history, awards, certifications, office locations or client rosters on this website.
Principles we hold to on every engagement.
Clarity before code
We would rather spend an extra day defining the problem than a month building a confident answer to the wrong question.
Small, visible increments
Progress is demonstrated with working software on a predictable rhythm, not with status percentages.
Honest reporting
Risks, delays and mistakes are raised as soon as they are known, including when the news is unwelcome.
Write it down
Decisions, trade-offs and operational procedures are recorded so knowledge does not live in one person's memory.
Simplicity has value
We choose the least complex structure that satisfies the requirement, and revisit it only when evidence demands.
No unverifiable promises
We commit to practices and effort. We do not guarantee outcomes that depend on factors outside our control.

How we engineer
We start from the domain. Before choosing frameworks we describe the entities, states and rules the business already uses, because a data model that mirrors reality tends to keep working as requirements move.
- Explicit boundaries between modules, so a change stays local.
- Automated tests written alongside features, not retrofitted under deadline.
- Code review on every change, treated as shared learning rather than gatekeeping.
- Deployment automated early, so releasing is routine from the first increment.
- Performance and accessibility considered during design, not audited afterwards.
Our commitment to maintainable software
Most of a system's cost arrives after its first release. We treat maintainability as a functional requirement rather than a matter of taste.
Readable over clever
Straightforward code that a new engineer can follow beats compact code that only its author understands.
Documented decisions
Architecture notes explain why a structure exists, which is what future maintainers actually need.
Dependencies kept current
Updates are scheduled work, because deferred upgrades become expensive migrations.
Clean handover
Repositories, environments, credentials procedures and runbooks are transferred in an organised way.
Working with clients
We treat a project as a joint effort with the people who know the business best. That means shared visibility of the backlog, direct access to the engineers doing the work, and decisions made together rather than presented after the fact.
Where a client has an internal team, we work as part of it: same repository conventions, same review practice, same definition of done. Where there is no internal team, we take responsibility for the whole delivery and make sure documentation is good enough for someone else to take over later.
